Wedding weekends are one of my favorite things to be a part of, especially in Mexico! Getting to spend time with a couple’s family and friends before the wedding day always makes everything feel more natural on my end—people get comfortable with me and the camera, and by the time the wedding day comes around, everything feels effortless. Aubrey and Cristian brought everyone out on the water in Cabo San Lucas, and from the start it felt like the kind of day you can’t really plan, only be part of. We cruised past the iconic rock formations which made for some incredible backdrops, and not long after, had one of the coolest experiences—a small group of humpback whales breached three or four times just off in the distance. Eventually we made our way closer to shore and dropped anchor, giving everyone time to jump in, swim, and settle into the moment. The whole day was documented on film, which felt fitting—something about it slowed everything down just enough and let the moments land exactly as they were.
