Sequim Wedding Photographer | Intimate Garden Wedding on Film
I've known Noelle for years, so getting to photograph her and Teo's wedding felt especially meaningful. They celebrated at their home in Sequim, Washington, surrounded by a small group of their closest friends and family.
The entire day felt incredibly personal and handmade. Wildflowers filled the property, the ceremony aisle looked like it was growing straight out of the garden, and long tables were covered in flowers, fruit and mismatched details for dinner outside. Noelle and Teo had put countless hours into their backyard and landscaping, creating such a beautiful setting for everyone to gather and celebrate.
While I photographed their wedding on both digital and film, this post is entirely medium format film. The softness and color of film worked so well with everything they had created, but more than anything, I love the way it captured the people. Friends getting ready together, everyone crowded around the dinner tables, hugs, a little rain, flowers being tossed as they walked back down the aisle; all the little in-between moments that made the day what it was.
One of the things I love most about photographing weddings on film is that it forces me to slow down a little. Instead of photographing everything endlessly, I'm waiting for the moments I want to remember. Looking back through these photographs, that's what I love most about this set. It feels less like a collection of wedding photos and more like remembering the day.
