It’s been a journey diving into the wedding photography industry over the last few years. It was an area of photography I avoided at all costs when I was starting out. I never felt confident that I had what it took to document such an important day for people. It honestly terrified me. But one day that changed and I eventually (three years ago to be exact) decided to become a full-time wedding photographer. There have been plenty of ups and downs during that time but this is one of those pretty big up moments. This year, Rangefinder Magazine named me as one of the 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography. It’s hard to put into words what this means to me. Many of the photographers I look up to have at one time made this list. It’s incredibly humbling and such an honor to be listed alongside 29 extremely talented photographers. I can’t thank the couples I've been able to work with enough for trusting me to document their day through my eyes. To my family, friends and most importantly Gillian for the constant encouragement & support, thank you, it truly means the world to me. And to Rangefinder Magazine, the judges and whoever nominated me, thank you. Today I feel proud.
